Cursor Hackathon 2026
Designed and built an AI-powered sports streaming experience called SportCast in under 9 hours using Cursor as the main tool.

Summary of the hackathon
Cursor is an AI-native code editor that helps teams build software faster with AI.
The first Cursor Hackathon in the Netherlands challenged participants to build an AI-native product in just one day. My team consists of two designers and two developers and, funnily enough, we had all just met that morning.
I focused on the UX design, product strategy, and frontend prototyping while my teammates tackled the backend architecture. In under 9 hours, we went from brainstorming an idea to presenting a fully functional live demo. By the end of the day, after 2 rounds of pitching, our team walked away as the 1st place winners .

Research While Building
While the developers explored the backend architecture and technical feasibility, I validated the market opportunity and refined the product direction.
Rapid AI Prototyping
Used Google Stitch and Figma to quickly explore UI concepts before translating them into wireframes and user flows.
AI-Assisted Frontend Development
Leveraged Cursor to generate and iterate on the frontend based on the static design, using Mobbin for UI inspiration while continuously collaborating with the developers to align with the backend.
Integrate & Iterate
Connected the frontend with the backend, tested the end-to-end experience, and refined the product until the final pitch and live demo.

The jury highlighted SportCast's potential as a launch-ready product. They recognized the combination of user-centered design, technical execution, and business innovation.
With a clear premium subscription model targeting the growing $10B niche sports streaming market, our team was ultimately awarded 1st place overall.
